Please bear with us as we build our website. For now, here are some pictures of a couple of our members while lobbying at the Utah State Capitol during the 2010 legislative session..
Why You Should Support Our Organization
We are a group of parents, activists, and concerned citizens striving toward a common goal: preserving familial relationships. The 2010 Utah Legislative session contained a bill to strengthen and make more inforcible the crime of custodial interference. Many concerned citizens and parents went to speak in committee meetings in favor of the law, literally packing the committee chambers. Realizing they had a common bond, several exchanged contact information and went on to form the American Parental Action League (APAL).
APAL, a nonpartisain group representing concerned citizens all across the political spectrum, calls upon legislators nationwide to rethink their approach to family law and to enact laws that preserve liberty and protect the fundamental right all fit parents have to take part in their children's lives. We strive locally to enact such change and will not rest until parents and children are brought back together to enjoy meaningful relationships without fear of government intrusion.
